The object of the game is that a wizard turned you into a ball of air with a SLOW leak. You have to find the Spellbook and the ingendents for the spell to turn you back into a human again. Use arrow keys to move. Ctrl to jump and space bar to pick things up. If you want to use the Innovation Sound board use and extension when loading of "airball /inv". For Creative music card /cms. The IBM sounds are default. It also supports VGA and it's very nice.

Description from MyAbandonware A poor conversion of Data East arcade game of the same name. There are many things wrong with Commando that make the game much inferior to the arcade original. For starter, the control is very limited: you can only shoot in 4 major cardinal directions, meaning that you need to run around in circles and time your shots to shoot diagonally. Levels are repetitive to the extreme, and all you do is run around and try to fend off an entire army by shooting and throwing grenades, which were just flashing white squares that are difficult to see. About the only thing Quicksilver did right with this game is that it is a lot of fun to find secret entrances to new area. But then again, THAT is in the original arcade game. Overall, a sub-par conversion that could have been much, much better. The poor CGA graphics doesn't help, either (and there are already many other games during that period that utilized CGA more effectively, e.g. Tau Ceti and Alley Cat).

Haven't you always wanted to try the first version of DOS? Maybe not, but I became interested when I read that all 1.x versions of DOS came with a game called DONKEY.BAS. The game in question was written by Bill Gates and Neil Konzen - as you can see, IBM was pretty desperate for things to include with DOS.

Gir Draxon, Supreme Overlord of the evil Arcturan Empire, is preparing to launch an attack on Earth. Trakblaster is a program which plays Amiga Soundtraker/Noisetraker files on IBM computers with a Soundblaster-card installed. Sound/Noisetraker files store music with digitized instruments. So it is possible to make music with interest effects, e.g. speech, singing and so on. Since not the whole song is digitized the files are relativ small. But this has a few disadvantages. Since every instrument is digitized only once but you want to play different notes, the computer has to calculate the data for every note during the output of the music. But that's not all. The Soundtraker has up to four channels which must be calculated independently. Besides that the computer needs time to calculate one channel for the Soundblaster from four channels of the soundtraker without a great loss of quality. There are special effects such as sliding, independent volume control for all channels and instruments, loop-function for instruments, changing in speed during output, jumping around the patterns and so on. All this must be calculated by the computer. Last but not least there must be a perfect timing to avoid distortion in music output. The "Paula"-Chip in the Amiga do many of the work described above. Since on IBM PCs there doesn't exist such a chip all the work has to be done by the CPU. The Soundblaster card only manage the moving of the calculated data from memory to the card. So it is clear that this problem can only be solved in pure assembler. The development of this program takes many weeks with testing, comparing and experimenting. Many days are lost with optimizing the program and speed it up to manage the needed timing. The result of many crashes, whole nights programmed through and hours of telefoning through the land is trakblaster. A program which can play soundtraker-files directly from the Amiga without the need to convert it. All functions of the Soundtraker are implemented.
