I have had the wonderful blessing of two parents who are perfect. So I just wanted to pass along some wizeadvice. According to studies Microsoft Windows XP is prone to viruses. Your best bet is to disable the internet for XP and dual boot another XP for the internet. Use FireFox and try not to install flash.
Over the years I would always end up having to reinstall Windows. Over time I got angry and decided to disconnect it from the internet. Well it worked. No more having to reinstall.
If you really have to use the internet for some reason I would recommend another computer just for that.
If you are on a budget like I am I did a dualboot.
