Well now that we have Turtle MOM completed to 100 levels I am taking a break for now. I am returning to study and learn additional materials from Borland Turbo C 2.0 Reference book. Each day I plan to do a page worth of material from the reference book. The programs that I produce may not be complex however I plan to complete my study in programming. In another 3 months I should be complete with my 4-year equivalent in programming. However I will not be getting my formal degree. I plan to compensate by studying programming for the rest of my life until GOD calls me home in peace at 100 years old.

Today we cover "putenv" command. It is a way of modifying the PATH variable in a safe manner according to Borland Turbo C 2.0 reference guide. Here is just a sample result showing the new temporary modification that does not last outside the program.

Today we cover "putimage" commands for Borland Turbo C 2.01. Please notice that we have put the image from the first upper left corner and copied it to the pixel starting from 58th pixel down with this command.

Today we have set our sights with the space-key. You can actually do something with the space-key now. hehe
Thank you Jesus Christ! Just a corny INTRO. In my life I've learned that you do the fun things in life and you get good at it. However the fun things has its limits.
Anyways it goes back to work. Thank you to my real mom Huong Thi Thuyen Vu and my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy for being there first before my time. Also, thank you to my two real sisters Nguyen Khoa Thi and Nguyen Khoa Thuyen for setting a guideline showing work pays off.

Well today by the grace of Jesus Christ who died 0 A.D. in the past already in Heaven GOD gives me the gift to program games. Here is a further addition where object detection is made. It is a little off right now since it only detects the top portion of the crossbow. However maybe that will change.

Okay here we have a more refined detection routine for our game in the making. Remember we do not know what this program will be so we will just say it is an example of detecting an object. The object is to move the cross onto the box and if it detects when you press space...

The game shows a dozen block. You have to pick out the first block that is able to be activated with the spacebar. If you touch the wrong box the first time then there is no penalty however it just wasn't the right one.

Today I'm just refreshing my knowledge on Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1. This program just exits right away supposedly once it is run. The reason I say "supposedly" is because I do not know if there are intermediate steps involved during the compiling process that inserts codes into my assembly program. Although I hope not that may be the case. I know there are some frontend work done before it can get to running a program. It is like a car. If you look at a car with 4-wheels you see it can run. However the frontend work is the engine that has to be placed in first. Thank you Jesus Christ!

Well,... it has been a long ride. It seems my reference guide is going to take a bit longer than I expected. Maybe two more years at most... maybe? Anyways this program is just for personal references and personal experiment. It is just a layout to a possible future bitmap drawing or possibly a game... anyways the result should be that it does nothing since there is no main right now to it.

God, Jesus Christ, is number one!
Thank you GOD although I'm a fool that somehow you gave me talent to be Vietnamese. Also, thank you GOD you gave me talent to be a chess player who is happily involved# Then thanks GOD for giving me my programming although it is just practicing. Did you know a piano player practices for 30000 hours before becoming a concert pianist? Did you know my Uncle who is a doctor has been doing 50000 hours of study and practice? So its going to take me maybe until I'm 100 years of age before............ I think?
I love talking about my real mom Huong Thi Thuyen Vu; she has been there for me all my life and made me who I am today along with my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy.
I will never forget my two real sisters for the rest of my life; Their names are Nguyen Khoa Thuyen and Nguyen Khoa Thi.
Hopefully I will marry my girlfriend Ho Thi Nga and have a baby girl Nguyen Khoa Tuyet one day in the future.
Anyways this program is one step closer to that hundred of thousands of hours to becoming the best programmer I can be..
It is all in assembly language.
I am just doing a few basic setups to practice my headers so the program could start doing somethings.
I remember when I first really started making programs... I got so many mistakes its not funny!!!

Well I'm just messing around lately. I don't really want to code. I am going by the theory of the turtle. I figure if I really have talent in programming it will come one day. Anyways hopefully I can be happy one day after figuring out Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1?
I think I'd be happy but I might not be happy.
You know you always want to be unique. If you aren't special it doesn't really matter.
I know I care deep down inside what happens in life. I just try not to react and get my hopes up. Also, I'm also scared it is a set up or some kind of trick. So when something good happens it is like maybe it is not real...

I confess. I'm not that good. I'm just a newbie. I hope one day I can come out with a cool program. But to tell the truth it's just my hobby. I like trying stuffs out on a daily basis. I remember hearing stories of the RBI hitter. You try batting many thousands of times before you hit it out of the court. And I love my mom for telling me the story of the tortoise and the hare. I don't want to win. I just want to be enough to be happy. I've seen many DOS programs out there and they all look like much hard work has been put into them. It is out of my reach at this time. However I hope to be in the programming industry for so long that I live. I'm happy where I'm at right now. I know GOD knows best! I love my parents. I love my sisters............

Well here I am practicing the art of assembly language. My intention is to specialize in Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1. I wish to be a PH.D. in Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1. They say you need 50000 hours of practice to be a doctor. So I better practice everyday if I can.

Here is a DOS game development that actually works in 32bit versions of XP.
The DOS game is unable unless by using DOSBox speed increase to be playable.
If you have DOSBox 0.74 you can set the speedcycles to a higher value and it should speed up the game.

Re: Thank you Jesus Christ.
An alternate if you want to keep using real hardware is to buy higher processing speed hardware that can handle DOS.
That way the new calibration routine can work better.
For instance the software on a CPU 1000 times faster should perform the same given a normalizing speed.
So the higher the speed of your hardware the better so long that the software has the new calibration routine in place.

Jesus! Chua Me O! Jesus Christ!
Well I've posted a quite a small bit on the Windows XP thread.
The game I posted works on XP however DOS should be fast enough that it also works on DOS. The truth is I'm just starting out. I have a 4 year equivalency in programmming but my work is just beginning. Notice it is so inefficient that it has to be run on XP to be workable??
So my task now is to keep honing my skills until I can be efficient and make it work. To be the best at programming means you have to be a programmer until you last day of living. I don't know if I have what it takes to program until I am 100 years old. When I say until that time I mean every single day without stopping. Even if I have a code hehe...
