Bless Jesus Christ because GOD can perform miracles while I cannot! Well my program continues to be inefficient, but I have taken steps to refactor my program a bit. It is no longer using just the screen for a buffer. It uses the stack. Also the stars have been reduced drastically. All the optimization that makes it work for Windows XP has been removed.

Well Jesus Christ gave me the gift to be an assembler. Using Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 I was able to speed up the MS-DOS/DOSBox by making the program more efficient. First I am re-writing everything in assembly language! Remember that it was at a crawl speed with 12 stars? Well here it is again just the stars part. Please note it is in MS-DOS/DOSBox. Well I did a little bit of background work. Nothing much is different. It now has the calibration routine in place again so it could run equal in XP that it does in DOS. Just XP has to be 32bit XP.

The Holy Cross sometimes leaves a trail when you release it into the crosshair. So I did a little work to compensate for that.

I plan on making this game all in assembler (Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1). It is all in TASM 4.1 right now. The only thing is I am redoing everything from scratch almost. All the C code has been removed.

I consider my youngest sister Thuyen to have the hardest life because the older ones have their parents' first attention. So I give my sister higher status than myself and my middle sister.

Of course I also am happy thanks to GOD that my middle sister graduated while I didn't. This makes me the lowest of the low status in GOD's sight...

However what I am happy about is that I have the freedom to enjoy programming on my on free will. No one makes me program on a schedule. When a program is produce and put to the public it is because I wanted thanks to GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my first creation when I first started programming Borland Turbo C 2.01 and Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 two years ago. I hope it is fun for someone at this forum at least. I've been kicked off the other forums for talking about my King and Saviour Jesus Christ too much! Oh well another day another program right? hehe My real mom Huong Thi Thuyen Vu always say keep trying until I get it right# My real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy always say to do the right thing and stop goofing up. My real sister Nguyen Khoa Thi says to be nice to your girlfriend!!!!!!!!!!!! My real sister Nguyen Khoa Thuyen is the same. Here I am not going to do the usual. I normally would have made The Holy Cross go in a straight line aiming for a target. In this 100% Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 program... I am bouncing GOD's gift to me instead when you press the spacebar. Please remember all keys are capitalized. It would make it a lot easier to have it cap locked. Thank you for your time.

My real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy is a real Buddhist. But he respects Jesus Christ to be the highest status.

My real mom is Huong Thi Thuyen Vu and she is a real Catholic.

Both my real parents taught me to love Jesus Christ if you want to be successful.

So it is not much however I was able to make the stars with slightly different speeds. Half are one speed and the half are the other.

I've just received a backup computer after getting a virus twice.

Not only was my Mac partition affected, but also my Windows.

Possible development with serious consideration for commercial success, but don't count on it. I've said it before and nothing came of it. So don't get your hopes up. It's nothing right now. And it may be nothing forever more.

Well I've decided to remember my two uncles. I remember my one uncle came over and we had a family reunion. The guy is actually a guy trying to quit drinking. The stars is for my other uncle. The new keys are U O N and comma. Those four keys and the space key is not listed.

Well I have nothing to show. This is just another practice run of mine. I am keeping my eyes on Jesus Christ! I remember it takes 30000 hours of practice to be a famous concert pianist. So maybe one day I'll hit my quota to be The King of Programming. Thanks to my mom Huong Thi Vu for telling me to keep trying to be better. I've just develop a scrolling routine all in pure assembly language. It only moves the bottom half of the screen upwards. However it is a fast scrolling routine compared to the C version that I had in the past.

Okay a little precaution. Please turn the volume down. This one has the most horrible sound when you are scoring. Also it has the most primitive scoring system.

Well, I'm no longer competing. I'm doing some studying again. This is more for my personal enjoyment than for my gains. This program does not do anything right now really. Like always expect nothing from me. If something does occur it belongs to my real mom and my real dad.

Here I am making what seems to be possibly the smallest program? It is 1 byte in size. Its only task is to return control back to the user. So when you run the program it just returns control back to you.

Well I'm working on interrupt vectors right now. In theory it should eventually allow me to do multitasking. However for now it just locks up the computer and waits for a key to be press. Each time it is pressed it flashes the color yellow. What it does is it's tied to the keyboard sensor. So a keypress will trigger the flashing. I could have done it the normal way through a regular program. However it would not be able to do it in the background.

Here I am doing a little multitasking. I've decided to have the stars flying in the background in one direction. The interesting thing is that it is doing this as an independent routine separate from the main program. In no way is it connected to the program. It is actually a separate program. So two programs are being ran at the same time. I've learned a little programming trick. The DOS system has a clock that activates 18.2 times per second. So 18.2 times the stars are flying one direction. However all the other directions are not related to this one direction! In this instance I had the program stop the independent routine when the program ends. However in theory you could have stars flying while you type or do your work.

Although I do not have to give Borland the credit for my program, I do feel grateful to GOD that Borland made a good software that I used to make my own programs (eg Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1).

During my work and study in programming multitasking I realize the DOS interrupts are a little slow compared to direct assembly language. So I do not plan to use it at all if I could manage for my important work. Some interrupts are faster if you are on 32bit Windows XP. However considering all factors DOS is faster using direct assembly.

An example is the timer is called 18.2 times per second. That means it is only done 18.2 times every second at maximum. However pure assembly language can do MIPS (ie Millions of Instructions Per Second). So there is no comparison.

I, Nguyen Khoa Tien, have been arrested many years ago. So today I had a psycho-exam. I passed long enough to go home for 3 months only to come back for another mind-exam then it starts all over again. So I've been busy. I'm sorry I was late with this program although it is only a pixel.
